Terms of Service
Last updated: March 8, 2026
1. Service description
SmartFix is a WordPress plugin conflict detection service. The WordPress plugin scans your active plugins and sends metadata to our analysis backend at smartfixwp.com. The backend analyzes the data and returns conflict reports.
2. License
The SmartFix WordPress plugin is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later (GPLv2+). You are free to use, modify, and distribute the plugin under the terms of this license.
3. Free tier
The free tier provides unlimited scans with all detection features. We reserve the right to implement rate limiting if a single site generates an unreasonable volume of requests (e.g., automated scanning every minute). Normal usage is not limited.
4. Accuracy disclaimer
SmartFix provides conflict detection on a best-effort basis. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all conflicts will be detected or that all reported conflicts are actual problems. Always test changes on a staging site before applying fixes to production.
5. Limitation of liability
SmartFix is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of this service, including but not limited to data loss, site downtime, or incorrect conflict reports.
6. Data handling
See our Privacy Policy for details on what data we collect and how we handle it.
7. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The SmartFix plugin will function in a degraded mode (showing cached results) if the backend is temporarily unavailable.
8. Changes to terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the plugin's changelog or our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
